    7. The Prince told the shallow about himself and about his past ”life” as a human, he also told him why the people in the town called him the happy prince.

    9. He asked if the swallow could take the ruby out of his sword-hilt, fly away and give the ruby to the poor mother and her suffering son.

    10. He asked the swallow to pluck out one of his sapphire eyes and give it to a poor young man who couldn’t afford food or firewood, if he got the sapphire he would be able to sell it and buy whatever he needed.

    11. He asked him to pluck out the last eye and give it to a match-girl who would get beat up if she didn’t return to home without anything of value.

    12. Because the prince has now become blind and the swallow felt like it was his responsibility to stay with the prince.

    13. The swallow did as he was commanded and dealt out the golden leaves from the statues body and gave it to all the poor people in the city.

    14. The swallow got colder and colder for each second he stayed with the prince, in the last seconds of his life he decided to fly up to one of the princes shoulder and told him goodbye. The swallow then died and fell to the ground.

    15. The prince’s leaden heart broke in two and he died at the exact same time as the bird hit the ground.

    16. It ends with the mayor and the councillors talking about how bad the prince was looking now that his whole statue had lost all the pretty accessories he once had. They later removed the statue entirely and melted it so that they could make another statue if they wanted to. The broken leaded heart was the only piece of the statue that didn’t melt and therefore the councillors and mayor didn’t have any use of it. They threw it away and it landed right next to the swallow that was lying dead on the ground. Later on the story moves on into heaven where god says to one of his angels: ”Bring me the two most precious things in this town.” The angel returns with the Prince’s leaden heart and the dead swallow. God finished the story by saying ”You have chosen rightly” and that they will both live again.

    17. I believe that the lesson learnt from this story should be that all good things you do will at one point sum up and it will reward you in some way. In this case the reward was that the swallow and prince came alive again in heaven. They sacrificed their own lives to help others who were in need of help. In my opinion it wasn’t necessary to risk their own lives when they could’ve just helped some of them. You can’t help everyone and you can’t change that since it’s a fact but what you can do, is that you can give whatever you have that you don’t need to those who are in need.

The little swallow said to the prince that I’m not going to Egypt I’m going to the house of death said the little swallow and kissed the prince on his lips and fell down dead on his feet.

    15. There was a cracking sound from the inside of the statute like if some thing had broken, the princes heart had indeed snapped in half, the lead heart had snapped in half. And the next morning two Councillors walked pass and saw the statute and saw that all the golden leafs were gone and both his eyes were gone as swell as the ruby from the sword, and they saw a dead little bird laying on his feet. So they pulled down the statute and melted the statute in a furnace.

    16. The princes statute is getting melted down in a furnace, and that they were going to make another statute, but one of the mayor himself. And the workmen at the foundery said that the broken lead heart were not gonna melt in the furnace, so they threw it away in a dust-heap were the dead swallow also were laying. And then God says that his angels are gonna give him the two most precious things in the city, the angels are coming up with a broken lead heart and a dead swallow, you have rightly chosen said God, for in my garden of paradise this little bird shall sing for evermore, and in my city gold the happy prince shall praise me.

    17. There is a lesson to be learned, if you are a good person deed you and you’re helping people in need you shall be awarded beyond everything and only God can show you that award when you deserve it the most. Lesson learned and thought.
