I had just walked in to the tomb. I of course knew what everyone said about it and had it in the back of my head the whole time. The first thing I noticed was the many iron maidens standing against the two walls; just the thought of being in one of those made me shiver. I felt incredibly anxious and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep going. I had to remind myself of the rumors of this tomb and the immense treasures that is said to lie ahead. But it wasn’t enough. I heard a loud noise, kind of like a moan or a growl, and I started to run. My fear overtook the other emotions i had, as well as my rational thinking. My only thought was to get out of there as fast as possible. It’s the first time I’m missing my small tent this much.

    18 / 5 1889 – Friday.
I have been reading about this tomb and whatever it might hide. It’s unbelievable and I’m not sure if it’s fact or fiction. I have decided that tomorrow is the day. I will try to go inside of it once more. This can’t all be for nothing…

  2. 13 January 15.40, I got a text-message from one of his mods, Nightbot: ”I went to his house to meet him. He was actually a way a nicer person then expected. He told me that he wanted to take all his mods on a trip, to Moscow. So I’ll go to Moscow tomorrow, I hope he treats us with some vodka. So this is the last time we speak on Swedish ground, I’ll send you more messages when I arrive in Moscow. c u l8r. ”

14 January 12.38, ”The flight went well, 1 of us puked already before the flight, so no Russia for him. Moscow is very cold this time of the year, but the beautiful old houses looks so pretty with the glittering snow upon them. We took an old rustic train to the city center where the roads are all cobblestone, so slippery. He showed us to our hotel, a old skyscraper in communist style. The inside is all grey with small rooms and shared toilets. It looks like a KGB prison. We’ll see have we get along. Now I need some food. c u l8r.”

14 January 22.32, ”In the small amount of time here we have done quite a few things, well we drunk vodka and ate a kolbasa sausage at a very suspicious bar/restaurant. The meat tasted peculiar, not like any other meat I’ve tasted, it reminded me of myself, somehow. Now I need sleep, we’ll talk more. c u l8r.”

  3. (yet to decide on title)

    july 9th

The mystery of the old ruins has stayed in my mind ever since the incident. Most people never wish to return to the place where they lost their loved ones, but I…

    july 13th

There is something peculiar about the ruins, the village folk tell of tales about family members who ventured there late at night, as if some mysterious force envelopes them. Filling their minds only with the one desire to mindlessly wander into the village…

    july 17th

    Tonight I think I was visited, but I can’t quite tell…
My usually wild and vivid dreams…
This wasn’t that, this time there was structure to it, as if maybe…
I may have been my late wife, why’d the dream tear up all the partially closed wounds…
Just when I thought the mystery of the ruins would interest me enough to make me forget.

    july 20th

My mind is made up, I can’t stay in this village anymore. There are too many painful memories of her.
In her absence she left me heartbroken and lonely. I never got to experience fatherhood.

    aug 1st

Everything is complete, I’m off away from this village hopefully forever. They were all so kind to me but, I have to follow my gut like I always do. One step after another…

    aug 16th

The terrain of the forrest is harsh, I’m used to the big mountains but I’m far away from home. Still, I found a little abandoned hut today, it may be related to the ruins because they are only 2 days of walking apart but I will stay here for the time being and rest my body and recover my strength.

    aug 17

the hut….. *the rest of the ink is smudged and not readable, the little text that you can read are mad scribbles and hints of insanity.*

”Well, uhm how do I start this.. The date is 5th Mars of 2021. My name is Barry and I will finally begin my adventure in the undersea, with a group of my friends. We have heard rumors that in the underwater there is forgotten treasure from the ancient era. We have dreamed about going under the sea and look for these treasures since we were in middle school, I can’t believe we are actually going to do that now. We have prepared a submarine for our explorations and other useful supplies to survive underwater. I will document everything that will happen in this entry log starting from today.”

After entering the underwater tunnel we have finally started the exploring of the treasure that the unknown man had told us. I can’t say he’s wrong, it really looks like there would be a treasure just lying ahead of us. Our group of five is really excited but I have a really odd feeling about this, this doesn’t feel right anywhere. As long as they are heading towards it I will be following but if something really strange happen we are out of here. I don’t trust that man enough.”

”Still we haven’t found anything any treasure at all, not even some clues about this place. I am wondering if there is actually one, but our group keeps insisting we continue. I still can’t shake off this strange feeling. Now I am doubting that we are really alone in this place. Nothing has really happened we are just walking around this endless tunnel, I hope we can get back too.”

  5. Journal entry; March 14th, year 1742

I have been out to sea for 42 days. During the trip I have been spending my time either in bed or bent over the rail hurling. Only now have I the strength to muster and write an entry in my journal. The journal that I promised myself to keep updated, not for the sake of remembrance but rather for my family back home and documentation. The sailors working aboard say that there will only be a few more moons, but I have a hard time believing their condescending tone. The only thing I look forward to now, are the evening stories the sailors have to tell. When we were all gathered under deck at night, they told stories of a monster. “The Kraken” they called her. But I believe it’s all just sailor drivel.

    Journal entry; March 17th

I awoke just a few minutes ago, with a new spring in my body. The seasickness I have been feeling has disappeared and I feel rejuvenated. Now that I look through the porthole of the boat, I can see a thick fog surrounding the ship.

  7. March 1st.
Hiya. I guess this’ll be my first diary entry! I’ve never done this before, so I’m not very sure what to write about. I guess I’ll start with writing about my day. It started off as any normal day; I took a stroll in London square, thinking I would check around in some stores to see if I find anything that sparks my interest… No such luck. Until I spotted the rundown side street, I had walked past it a lot before in the past but never ventured down it. Now that I think about it, I rarely ever see anyone walk down it. Anyways, I decided to try my luck and see if I could find anything, like an interesting shop something similar on it. What I found was a small and rundown shop. It was a simple one, didn’t have anything but books and small trinkets and such. The only employee was an old man; I assume that he’s the owner. I took a look around the shop, and found nothing of interest. Except this book, it was nothing special, just a simple book! But for some reason, I could not take my eyes off it. I opened the book, and it was empty. I asked the owner what kind of book it was and he said it was a diary. I bought the diary and hurried home. And here we are. That’s enough for today. I’m going to sleep.

    March 2nd.
I had trouble sleeping last night. It was unusually cold in my room for some reason. Probably something wrong with the heating, nothing that can’t be fixed.

    March 3rd.
There was nothing wrong with the heating. But it’s still very cold in my room. I’ll use the sofa in the living room tonight, and try to get some decent sleep.

    March 10th.
It has been a while since my last entry; I have been way too tired to write anything. It seems the cold in my room has subsided at least, so I’ll hopefully get a good nights sleep tonight.

This is what i managed to write so far.

  8. A very scary creepy horrifying shocking spooky gothic horror story
    by Johan and Robert

Feb 30, 8pm. I was walking my dog through the woods. Suddenly it started barking and ran away. I decided to follow and catch him but he ran into the darkness too fast. I followed the direction he ran into for 5 minutes and then arrived at this castle that I did not even know was here. Then the weird started to happen.

Feb 30, 8:10pm. So I am here at the entrance not really knowing what to do. I decide to shout out after the dog. It’s been a while since he is gone. ”Sigfuss!” I shout out loud. I then hear a barking coming from inside the castle. The echo makes it seem like Sigfuss is not very far. It’s a huge castle so I better start searching for him. There is this large room at the entrance of the castle. It’s huge and empty. The only thing in it is a pulpit right in the center. I walk to it and find a book placed on top of it. It looks old. I open the book but the pages are blank. The only information it gives me is the title on the cover. ”The return”. Not even a description on the back. Silly.

Feb 30, 9pm. I decide to bring the book with me. As soon as I pick up the book I hear the castle door behind me shut close. I can feel something is wrong as I see a bright radiation come from the book. I open it again at there it is, written on the first page. ”Chapter one, It begins”. I couldn’t have missed this while reading the book before. It feels strange. The big empty room is lit by candle lightning which is a bit creepy. How long could they have been lighten up? At least I am not alone, right? Ha ha… I really want to go back home right now but I have to find my dog. ”Sigfuss!” I shout. The response comes directly. I hear an echoing ”Bark bark!” coming from upstairs. As soon as I climb the stairs the lights in the big room decide to go out.
    To be continued…

Anxiously running down the corridor. The sound is echoing behind me. I got separated from the others after I started running. I didn’t get a good look at it but I don’t dare to turn around now.

    …/5 1889
I’m completely lost. I can’t find my way back out, not sure what to do. I’ve been searching for the exit for half a day now. Found a rat that I ate so I’m not on the edge of starvation anymore. I haven’t seen any signs of the others but hopefully I’ll make it after all.

    …/5 1889
It’s closing in on me. I can hear it walking around me, echoing down the corridors. It knows I’m here. I found a pile of freshly gnawed bones. I’m next.
