  1. The picture we got in the documentary is that Richard was a king in 1400-centeries.
Richard was born in Fotheringay Castle and his father was Richard Plantagenet.
Richard was the last king of England, whose death at the battle of Bosworth which ended the wars of the roses. He became famous because of the disappearance of his nephews.

My perception I get of producing a play is that it’s fun and feels very good to work with. Sometimes it can be rough, but it’s still fun to work with because you meet other people and you get more new friends in long turn.

  2. The picture I got was much alike Kevin Spaceys roll in House of cards. He starts out as a low-tier politician and slowly climbs the ladder through deceit and corruption. Richard seemed like a smart and cunning man who had no trouble with spilling the blood of his relatives. The play is a drama/thriller I think since it is pretty tense and has a lot of sudden turnings. It isn’t like in movies where the main characters never die, in the play everyone has the possibility to die and I personally think that that makes the play much more entertaining and immersive. On the topic of describing Richard, I think that Kevin imitates him perfectly. He seems like a very strong person who has no troubles with striving for his ambitions. He is crooked, like his back, and is very deceitful. In short words the average epic villain.

I think that the actors that perform the play really gets to understand the feelings and emotions that their rolls have and feel during the play. They get more immersed as time goes. In the end they are close to being the person that they are supposed to imitate. It seems very fun and exciting although extremely hard work. They can get very stressed out about smaller details that went wrong some of the times that they performed. All in all I think that they are all very passionate about their work, and that is why I think that they succeed so well when actin.

  3. we get the picture of Richard the 3 that he has many injuries on his body, has a lump on his back and looks very mean/angry.
it’s a play showing how king Richard the lll became a king and how he fought many wars in England.
Richard is an evil bastard that does anything to get what he wants and doesn’t care about the others but in the end he will regret what he has done to them.

by producing the play and playing it in many different countries takes very much hard work and dedication to play it but att the same time it’s fun for everyone in the play and to get knowing each other. The experience they have got by doing this play in many different countries and many different people is and will be precious to them. it’s like everyday of life but on a different scale.

  4. From the documentary I got the feeling that Richard was a evil from top to toe, but somewhere he has sympathy for example his mother. After he saw how he got closer to power he got on a path which made him more evil and less sympathetic. I can somewhere see that he wants to be good to all people but because of his movement-imparing injuries and how he got treated because of it.

I get the feeling that it is a very hectic to be a part of the show and it’s very hard to it in a good organized way. If I would be a part of a act, I would probably be an actor, not because of I feel exhibitionistic and have that need, more that I would like to feel like I was part of another world and see how it is to be right in the attention center at the time. To be in an another place is most peoples dreams, and it would be very fun to try it out.

  5. What picture do we get of Richard III in the documentary? How would you describe the main character?
    – Richard the third was a bad guy, selfish and self centered. He taught only of what was best for him and did not care of others. He had no remorse. Which is also the reason everybody turned against him.

What kind of play is it?
    – A long one.

What perception do you get of producing a play and taking it on the road?
    – It’s hard. There is much traveling and pressure involved. It’s impressive how people manage to remember a three hour play by heart and do all the choreography right.

  6. The picture I got in the documentary is that Richard was royal born who never understod kind emotions and was only seeking power. The play was also from one of shake spears creation.

The play of Richard the third were about a king and his family that didn’t love a disabled child who were not only disabled in his physical abilities but also mental.

Richard the third is the main character in the play and he sure does fit that. Richard were having a lot troubles that he needed to solve in order to become the king. In the play you will notice that the main character Richard change in time of when hes in power and not.

The perception I get from seeing how they travel around the world to show their play is a mixed feeling of both joy and exhausting feeling. They probably felt exhausted from training in all their different lines that need to be remember from the heart. But all that exhausting training makes it up from the joy they experience from the audiences cheer after the play. So in short the ones who is producing such a play will have a great memory of life

  7. The documentary showed us that Richard III was a king during the 1400 century, he was the last king of York and was born in Fortheringay castle. It also showed us the perception that William Shakespeare had on Richard III, in the play he was described as a horrific man who had almost nothing but evil actions.

This play really gave me the perception that hard work pays off, the reason why is that their crew traveled world wide to present this play that they had been preparing for months and get such a great result and get such an amazing praise from all of the different crowds must mean that their work paid off.

  8. Richard III was the King of England between years 1483-1485. He died at the battle of Bosworth and that ended the Wars of the Roses. Many believe that he killed his nephews but it hasn’t been proofed.

The perception I get from making a play and taking it on the road is that it could be really exhausting to travel so much and do the same play every week, I think I would get bored. Still it would be nice to see country and make new friends. Still it would be too hard for me to be so long away from home.

  9. The documentary gives of an uneasy feeling. Seeing as how Richard has no worries spilling blood. He seems evil from top to toe. But with almost every villain and humans in general there’s always a soft spot. For Richard this seems to be his mother, he has sympathy towards her. I think most of his struggles come from what the whole story is about. How a mother and a father doesn’t love their disabled child. I would say this play is a drama/documentary type genre. Because of the view we get on how a disabled person feels and the drama part being the whole power crazy, no kind emotions scenes.

It seems like hard work and a lot of preparation. Also not anyone could do this! Everyone has to help and support and be motivated/willing to practice to make it perfect, a bad execution of a play can be spotted miles away. You have to be willing to travel, come to terms with different people even if you actually don’t like them. It also seems like a joy, the feeling of accomplishment must be extremely high after a successful show.

  10. The picture I got was that Richard III would do anything in his power to take over the throne. It´s a drama based on a real happening in late 1400 century. Richard is a very smart man who through his lies and trickiness manage to fool and take over the royal throne from his two brothers, Edvard and Clearance, the rightful descendants of the throne.

I think i would be hard. To start with, remembering a three hours long script, isn`t something that comes easy. You would have to read it through so many times that you would eathier puke on it or burn it up. However that was just the inception of you work. You would have to master the choreography and practice the timing of all the moves throughout the play.

  11. We get the picture that Richard III was a man born in the middle of the 15th century.

The play about Richard III was written by William Shakespeare.
The life and death of Richard the Third is a historical play written approximately 1592, over a hundred years after his death. It’s a dramatization and is therefore historically inaccurate. However this can mostly be attributed to the fact that the new regime in England at that time wanted Richard III to be depicted as a villain.

The play is about how Richard lived, how he usurped the throne and how he died.

In the play, Richard was portrayed as having bodily deformities and a rotten personality. Scheming to overthrow the ruling king and take the throne as his own. His methods were portrayed as unethical and brutal, but also brutally effective. Proven by the fact that he succeeds in his ambition. But it was short lived. His rule was tyrannical, and he’s killed in the battle of Bosworth Field during the rebellion.

The perception i get of producing a play. Is that it’s a big endeavor. The actors have to rehearse a ton and producing a play is not cheap. Their winnings have to outweigh their spendings, otherwise they won’t get to do it again.

And for the possibility to take a it on a world tour. The play has to be very successful.

But as long as the actors and staff have a great time making the play and the audience have a great time watching it. All of it becomes worth it.

  12. It was an historical play.
Richard the third is kind of an evil guy but he makes us sympathies with him by saying things like that his malice toward others comes form the tact that he is unloved, and that he is unloved because of his physical deformity.

Throughout his struggle to be crowned king, he uses his speech to gain trust. When he is crowned king and Richmond begins his uprising, he drops his facade and shows us his true nature, and by the end of the play he can be seen for the monster that he is.

  13. In the documentary, Richard the third is portrayed as a mad man. He’s angry all the time at everyone. He threatens relatives over unimportant things and are considering to get them killed. The main character, Richard III, was unloved as a child because of his appearance and disability. This made him a hateful and mean man later in in life. The play is a tragic play without a happy ending. The play is also trying to make the viewer feel for Richard and his obstacles in life.

Producing a play and touring it seems like a lot of work. The main cast worked around 6 days a week non stop for a season. They also had to travel the world, which could be a cool thing, but they missed their families to much to appreciate it i think.

  14. What picture do we get of Richard III in the documentary?
It is an old play about family infighting and harsh politics, the world is a dark place with many corrupt people with a lot of power.

What kind of play is it? It seems like a lot happens during the play and I imagine it is quite a long play as well. Very dramatical.
How would you describe the main character? The main character is a hunchback cripple who want to be king and will stop at nothing and isn’t afraid to hurt people to get what he wants.

What perception do you get of producing a play and taking it on the road? It seems quite hard and quite an investment and a risk to produce a play, getting good actors and such. Im sure as heck I couldn’t do that.

  15. Richard II
What i learned from the documentary was that he was a evil person and hade many enemies. He was the third son of Richard duke of York and was to become the last king from the house of York. He was the king of England until his death in the end of the 15 century at the battle of Bosworth 1485.

  16. Richard III

What picture do we get of Richard III in the documentary? How would you describe the main character?

We get a picture of a power hungry man that would do anything to become the ruler of UK. We see that he is an untrustworthy man and a man filled with greed. A man with back problems and typically dark antagonist even tho he was the protagonist. He is a man without regret and despair, but in the end those feelings comes to him and he becomes filled with sorrow and despair. Ultimately he dies in a bloody battle against rebels who oppose his rule.

What kind of play is it?

It is a very dark and sad play with a lot of dark music and the script has a very dark tone to it which gives the play this special feeling, you like him but you don’t.

What perception do you get of producing a play and taking it on the road?

It must be difficult for the actors and everyone around that are working to make a play the best it can be. You have to move everything and if something gets broken you gotta solve it and repair it, because there are no spare parts for the background or the special stuff they use. The pressure on the actors and everyone must be heavy because everything has to be right and if it isn’t they all could fail. To move and stage from place to place must be annoying too, stages arent always the same size or the same height which may give the audience another feeling or point of view on the characters in the play, and that could bring some negative rumors. Having a good rumor will bring more people than an bad rumor.
The actors have to learn and understand a 3h long play without any misstakes while playing it for the play to become successful. I have an hard time remembering a 5 min essay but these guys have to learn an entire 3 hours! thats a lot!

  17. The picture I got from the documentary is that Richard is a real a-hole and could not feel or recognize feelings. All he ever wanted was power and the closer he got to it the more evil he became and less sympathetic. Richard would do every thing in his power to take over the throne. Richard may seem like a fool but he is actually a very smart man who uses his lies and his manipulations to take over the throne by assassin his two brothers who were the right heirs.

I think it would be a fun experience but it would be a tough period of time. It’s very much to remember and do. I don’t think I ever could remember a script for three hours and then do everything on stage too. When you are traveling the world with a crew full of actors and other drama people you don’t seems to get a lot of you-time. And that will drive everybody mad at some point.
But I also think that you will bound with the people around you and have great fun with them and have friends for a lifetime.

  18. In the documentary Richard III was pictured with an exaggerated villainy and shown as a cunning man. Through deception, fraud and acts of evil he manages to climb the rank, killing, tricking and deceiving others. It is told that he doesn’t blink twice to kill someone. That he marries the widows of men he killed. And that he strikes an agreement with someone only to not fulfill his end of the bargain.

Richard III is a Drama and Thriller filled play that depicts Richard III’s rise to the throne and eventually his fall. There is also parts of ”Fourth Wall” breaking humour where Richard lets the crowd in on his secrets and plans, to raise the mood from gloomy to light, only to ruin it later. Many aspects of the main character can be described with the word crooked, especially his crooked appearance and his crooked personality.

Producing a play and taking it on the road with you from country to country sounds incredibly taxing. Having to do an exhausting play multiple times a week. It’s something you wouldn’t be able to do unless your burned with passion for the play. On the other hand, hitting the road and doing a play in a lot of different countries, getting a standing ovation for the play you put your sweat and blood into, and spending time with friends and colleagues sounds like an adventure that will be late forgotten.

  19. The picture i got of Richard the III is that he is a powerful but a corrupt man how can do anything to get what he want. it reminds me of a character in a series on netflix thats called ”House of cards”. Frank underwood is the name of the character and he remides me much of of him. both are powerful people.

it must be hard to travel and do the play and much hard work and preparation. When the script is almost 3 hours is that probably the hardest part of it all. but i think you get remarkable memories on a trip like that thru countries.

  20. Richard the third is the main character of the historical play Richard III, which in summary is about how he step by step is taking over the throne of England. I got the picture that Richard the third is a very strong person that doesn’t give up on his goals, and since his goal is to take the throne we get the picture that he has a very big lust for power. He’s also very smart since he manipulates a lot of people, including the noblewoman Lady Anne which is King Edwards wife, into marrying him even though he is the one killing her husband.

The perception i get of producing a play on the road is that it can be very hard and stressful from time to time since they always have to switch actors when the reach a new city to preform in.

  21. RICHARD THE THIRD
For me Richard the third wasn’t really a good guy, super hero or some guy who makes other people happy. He was quite the opposite, selfish and abnormally self centered thus leading it to many people hating him. Having such a rotten personality is of course a big reason for him having so many enemies. But even though him having such a bad personality, we still can’t deny him for climbing up so high in politics which proves him being a intelligent person.
The play seems to be the genres thriller/drama. There were lots of tense moments and turns of events. But to put it simple, the play was about Richard growing up, how he lived and how he managed to deceive the world around him to siege the throne by assassinating his own brothers. And the most unanticipated moment of this play was that he, the main character died which rarely happens in stories or movies. On a side note this was a documentary so I’m probably wrong.
By producing a play and taking it on the road seems like a huge load of work for me. Just imagining writing a whole script for all the characters seems boring and not worth the work. But considering that it was a long time ago, that might be the only solution to live a life if you had passion for it. But travelling with the group and performing in different stages seems fun, you get to travel around the world and show them your work.
